This is the foundational course for establishing a fly cast and learning fishing basics. Learn to set up a fly rod, differences between rod and reel weight classes, rigging and tying on a fly, essential knots, along with 3 basic casts. You will learn to Pick Up and Lay Down the line, roll cast, and false cast. If you’d like, we can discuss nymph rigs, and also euro nymphing set ups for fishing the Guadalupe and other rivers.
