Much of his time is spent exploring the Texas Hill Country, refining techniques and approaches tailored to the region's unique waters, native species, and seasonal changes. His home waters include the San Marcos, Llano, Guadalupe, and Colorado Rivers, where he guides anglers of all experience levels for native warmwater species and seasonal trout. Beyond Texas, Andrew spends time guiding in Colorado's Eagle and Vail Valleys, including the Eagle, Colorado, and Roaring Fork Rivers. Working across these diverse fisheries has helped shape his approach to guiding, emphasizing adaptability, observation, and an understanding of the water. He also ties his own flies, focusing on simple, thoughtfully designed patterns that are effective and suited to the fisheries he guides. Through Angler's Choice, Andrew is expanding opportunities beyond local waters with twice-yearly hosted fishing trips to destinations around the world. From tarpon in Costa Rica to roosterfish, permit, bonefish, and trout in Argentina, these trips are designed to introduce anglers to new fisheries while providing guidance, preparation, and a shared experience on the water. As a guide, Andrew places equal importance on education, preparation, and safety. He is CPR and First Aid certified and a Certified River Guide in the State of Colorado. Whether introducing someone to their first cast, helping an experienced angler refine their skills, or preparing a group for an international fishing adventure, his goal remains the same: to create a rewarding experience while building confidence and a greater appreciation for the water.
